Where can I go on Vacation?

Where can I go on Vacation?

After so many months stuck at home you may be wondering, where can I go on vacation? What destinations are open?

If you are looking for a local (USA based) vacation I recommend The Florida Keys, Galveston, TX, or Las Vegas. Amtrak and Railbookers in Canada also have alternatives worth investigating if you want to give train travel a try.

If you’re looking for someplace fun with all the thrills Universal Orlando (Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay) have re-opened! NOTE – attendance is controlled to facilitate social distancing and not all of their resorts are open, so call me to secure the best available dates, accommodations, and to review the new safety protocols. They are currently offering up to $200 off their packages.

My picks for Caribbean travel are 4 and 5-star all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic. All three destinations have a large number of resorts with the available staff to properly clean and sanitize, and the room to allow proper social distancing. Plus airlines are starting to resume flights to these locations, including nonstop flights.

Be sure to pack extra masks as they are required by most airports/airlines and also some destinations including The Florida Keys. Keep in mind local regulations (and customs) are changing daily! It’s better to be prepared.
