Attention Texans: the building of this much anticipated cruise terminal is back on track, ya’ll!
In March, Royal Caribbean International (RCI) announced it will begin building a fancy $100 million cruise terminal at the Port of Galveston’s Pier 10 in April of this year. Construction of this cruise terminal was put on hold in 2021 due to that rotten pandemic. (It was supposed to open this Fall.) Anyway, it’s going to be super swanky on 10 acres of land and large enough to accommodate RCI’s Oasis class ships and their forthcoming Icon class of ships which are being built as we speak (ETA 2022-2025).
In the same press release, RCI announced it will begin sailing its Oasis-class ship, the Allure of the Seas, from Galveston beginning in November 2022. You can bet I am going to be on that sailing – I can’t wait to experience this new terminal! Who wants to join me?
