Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Allure of the Seas, will be the first Oasis-class ship to sail out of the Port of Galveston once the new $100 million cruise terminal Royal Caribbean is building is completed in Nov. 2021.
Allure will sail seven-night Caribbean itineraries from Galveston after a 58-day, $165 million, renovation! Upgrades will add new features, including the Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea; The Perfect Storm trio of waterslides; a completely redesigned Adventure Ocean kids and teens spaces; the first Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar; Quantum Class original Music Hall; and much more.
Allure is part of Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class, the largest class of ships at sea. She is 1,187 feet long and 215 feet wide, and its gross registered tonnage is 225,282. The ship has capacity for 5,484 guests at double occupancy, or a total of 6,780 guests at maximum capacity if all berths are occupied, plus 2,200 crew members. There are 18 total decks, including 16 for guests, and 2,742 staterooms.
